When we think of the word "health," we generally associate it with medical matters, so the definition of public health can seem a bit misleading. Unlike the practice of medicine in technical settings, such as a doctor's office or hospital, public health is not an individual discipline, nor is field practice in medicine. MS dept of health? Whether continuing your education on campus or online, public health degrees enable students to address issues that affect the health of the population and the health care system, including environmental health, disease prevention, health informatics, global health, ethics, & behavioral and cultural issues.

What we need to know about the MS Dept. of Health?

It is concerned about the disparities associated with communities of color receiving COVID19 vaccines from the MPHA Committee on Health and Racial Equity and the MPHA Board of Directors. In March 2021, the Mississippi State Department of Health reported that vaccination rates for dogs are as follows: Whites have a vaccination rate of 64%; Blacks 27%; Asians 1%.

The MPHA urges all eligible Mississippians to get vaccinated for their health and the health of their families. MS dept of health? Therefore, the Mississippi State dept. would like to take the opportunity in the coming months to highlight and identify some of the individuals, teams, and organizations in our state who are doing all they can to protect us and address the many concerns we currently have. MS dept of health? Liz Charlotte, communications director for the Mississippi State Department of Health, has been front and center in providing experience and support for these important efforts. 

She has served as MSDH's Director of Communications since 2003 and is supported by 14 employees, including a print shop. Her background is television journalism and she has held television reporting positions in several major cities in the South and Midwest.
